Bobby Brown:

This week Bobby Brown sat down with the TODAY Show’s Matt Lauer, it’s his first interview since his ex-wife’s death. It was a really good interview, he expresses his deep love for Whitney, how he felt when he heard that cocaine was a contributor to her death. He went on to mention that he was not the person that introduced Whitney to drugs and how he can’t help but think if there was something more he could have done to help her with her struggle with addiction.

He dispelled the rumors that he was NOT invited to the funeral. He explained the controversy that occurred at Whitney’s funeral. What was reported as his entourage was actually his children. Security wanted them to move which would have meant that Bobby would not be able to sit with his kids which he did not want to do.  After being asked 3 times he said he felt disrespected and decided it would be best if he left. If this is true, its sad that the man couldn’t even pay his respects to his late, ex-wife properly.

I wasn’t going to talk about BBW today, but after watching Monday’s episode I couldn’t help but think that I might have to stop watching this show. I’m getting tired of watching grown women act like wild animals in fits of rage. Like it’s cute, that is NOT cute, sexy or attractive?!

I'm over BBWs fighting like wild animals.

They have some serious anger issues and need counseling.  Why do you think you can physically attack someone and NOTHING happen to you? Where in the real world can you act like this and nothing not happen to you? Do you not have anything to lose? Aren’t you a mother? Aren’t you building a brand? Don’t get me wrong it makes good TV, but this isn’t a sitcom or a church play, it’s suppose to be their real life. This is how they solve problems?

BEHIND THE MUSIC: BRANDY

VH1's Behind The Music w/Brandy

Aired this week and she talked about her family life, her big break into the music industry, her first love Wanya Morris from Boyz II Men and how she had to keep her relationship with him a secret b/c her advisors didn’t think it was good for her image.  If you remember back them, Brandy was the cookie cutter, girl next door.  She went on to talk about her struggle with anorexia and bulimia and her “pretend marriage” to producer Robert Smith in efforts to cover up her pregnancy out of wedlock. She even opened up about the tragic car accident she was involved in 2006 where a 38 year old mother of 2 died. She was very transparent and raw with her emotions. I’ve watched many Behind the Music specials, but Brandy’s special stands out as one of the best by far.  If you didn’t get to see if check it out on VH1.com.

TIA & TAMERA BACK FOR A 2nd SEASON

Tia & Tamera returns in June on the Style Network!

I’ve loved Tia and Tamera since Sister, Sister! So when the Style Network gave them their own reality show I was all over it! The show will be back for a 2^nd season on June 11^th 8/7C. The show gave us an inside look at the two sisters lives.  We saw Tia adjusting to becoming a new mommy and balancing her career.  And we saw Tamera in the final stages of planning her wedding and getting prepared for the married life as well getting back into acting.

Congratulations go out to Tamera and her husband Adam as they are expecting their first child! So I definitely can’t wait to tune in to catch the 2^nd season.

DEION SANDERS vs. PILAR SANDERS

It’s crazy how people can go from loving someone for years to attacking them and being arrested for a domestic violence charge.  Its so sad that things have gotten so out of control.

Allegedly Pilar and a friend physically attacked Deion while he was in his bedroom. The authorities were called and Pilar was arrested on a misdemeanor domestic violence charge.  Deion later tweeted about the attack and posted a picture of him and his kids filling out police reports! (WHY!!!??)

The next day Deion was charged with misdemeanor simple assault but the charge doesn’t warrant an arrest. This whole thing is CRAZY! Apparently they were still living together in their mansion in Texas, but now Pilar has been banned from their home.

I just hope someone is suggesting that they pull it together and do what’s best for their children with minimal drama moving forward. I can’t imagine my parents in the news for fighting each other; that has to be tough to see and process.

WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENTS DINNER

The White House Correspondents Dinner is tmw, Apr 18th!

If you’re in DC don’t be surprised if you bump into Hollywood’s celebs! They’re in town for the White House Correspondents Dinner that’ll take place tomorrow:

• Lindsay Lohan and Kim Kardashian are both guests of Fox.  Nope Kim isn’t bringing Kanye as her date; she’ll be hitting the carpet with her mom, Kris Jenner.
• John Legend and supermodel fiancée are guests of NPR.
• Reese Witherspoon and Viola Davis are guests of Newsweek.
• Stevie Wonder will attend also as guest of American Urban Radio.
• George Clooney, Rosario Dawson, Mary J. Blige, Eva Longoria, Kelly Ripa, Diane Keaton, Dakota Fanning will also be in attendance, to name a few. I can’t wait to check out the red carpet photos.

Also, 3 Howard University students will receive scholarships at the dinner as well! So congrats to them!

4.20’s Reality Check w/ CJ

REALITY TV:

So if you watched last Monday’s episode of Basketball Wives you saw Evelyn’s assistant slap Jennifer in the FACE? Did y’all see it? First of all let me stop here. Idk how Jennifer let this chick get up and walk around this huge table and SLAP her?! Where do they do that at?! I get that Jenn’s not a fighter and I’m not condoning any of the fighting that happens on that or any show. But that tussle they did after the slap was horrible, LOL! Well anyway, Jennifer has moved forward in suing Evelyn’s Assistant, Nia for slapping her.  And the other BBW cast members apparently aren’t with it.  They’ve threatened to boycott the reunion show if Jennifer attends. I guess they don’t want to be involved with a person that throws lawsuits around… idk. We shall see what happens with that… one thing I know is VH1 is going to have a reunion show, so I guess we won’t see Jenn. Maybe they’ll skype her in lol.

Also on this week’s BBWs episode we got introduced to Royce’s “new” boyfriend, Tampa Bay Buccaneers football player Dez Briscoe. I feel like every season she has a different boyfriend and we go through the same routine.  She talks about him, we see her out with him talking in her baby voice, he meets her dad, then we see her in lingerie for him. LOL and guess what same thing happened this episode! Go figure. They talked about him meeting Royce’s dad…  had a surprise date on a rooftop… and the date ended with her in lingerie. SMH I mean she doesn’t leave anything for privacy.  Speaking of privacy, apparently, Dez’s baby momma releases text messages that Dez has been sending to her that aren’t appropriate for someone that’s in a relationship.  And like grown, mature adults where do Royce and Dez go to talk this out? … YUP! TWITTER! Going back and forth –he apologizing and justifying and she acknowledging how she feels betrayed and isn’t sure of her next steps. Why this needed to be done on twitter… IDK!

Real Housewives of Atlanta this season was pretty boring if you ask me.  However Part 1 & 2 of the reunion aired this week and were pretty heated. Andy Cohen just basically rehashes old arguments with the ladies, nothing too exciting.  Nene’s attitude in the part one episode was so defensive and at times her reaction to other cast members comments reeked of an “I’m Better Than You” attitude.  Maybe she’s over being on the show with the ladies… but she sure enough checked the mess outta Sheree when she mentioned her son. In other RHOA news, Sheree Whitfield won’t be returning to the show next year. She says that she’s leaving the show to focus on her clothing line, smh She by Sheree. But sources say that Bravo executives fired Sheree, she was requesting more money and they were tired of her diva ways. Maybe it’s the fact that the only thing she talks about is her divorce or child support case? Idk guess we’ll have to wait to see who the new ATL housewife will be that’ll replace her. Maybe Marlo will turn into a cast member? Lord help us all! LOL.

• Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have decided to get married.
• Dick Clark passed away Wednesday, he was 82.
• The TODAY Show released their summer concert series schedule, get excited! Usher kicks things off them this summer on May 18^th! Chris Brown will hit the stage on June 8^thJustin Beiber will hit the stage on June 15^th. One of my fave groups, Maroon 5 will perform on June 29^th. Flo Rida is on July 6^th

Chick Flick Alert!! From the writers of The Notebook, The Lucky One opened this weekend also!! The movie is about a Marine that travels to North Carolina after serving three tours in Iraq and searches for the unknown woman he believes was his good luck charm during the war. The previews make it seem like it’s going to be the next Notebook, but hey I thought that about The Vow and CLEARLY I was wrong. The Lucky One pulled in $22.8M its opening weekend making it #2 movie at the box office…. Maybe it is the next Notebook?!

And in case you’ve been living under a rock Think Like a Man opened Friday and pulled in a whopping $33M at the box office, securing the #1 spot! Chris Brown, Kevin Hart, Regina Hall, Michael Ealy, Meagan Good, Taraji P. Henson, Gabrielle Union and more are all in this movie. It’s a romantic comedy based off of Steve Harvey’s relationships book. It’s told from the male perspective and is hilarious. The perfect movie for a date or girls/guys night out… well lol, do guys go out to the movies together? LOL.

Guess what?! I’m back! Not only am I back to blogging but starting next Friday, you’ll be able to hear my pretty voice (lol) on a brand new online radio show. I’ll have a Entertainment Segment on Live & Loud on BLIS.FM.  The show airs Mondays and Fridays from 2pm-4pm EST, starting next week! Friday, April 20^th will be my first show and my segment –Reality Check Fridays w/CJ will air at 2:30pm EST. You can tune in while you’re at work! Basketball Wives: After doing a few episodes in NYC the ladies are finally back in Miami.  Just how the weather in Miami is HOT so is the DRAMA! Evelyn has already been in 1 fight, and thrown a wine bottle and glass plate at Charlie Bell’s ex-wife Kenya Bell, smh. Kenya  insists that she is about to be the next Beyonce and showed most the girls her latest music video. Ummm, needless to say I think Beyonce’s job is safe. Next week is when everything hits the fan! If you watched the VH1 Trailer for this season you remember seeing Ev jump onto a table to try an attack Jennifer… well this episode will air Monday, so check your local listings.

Pt. 1 of RHOA airs this Sunday on BRAVO

Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 4 is over and the first part of a 3-part reunion airs on Bravo this Sunday at 9pm EST.  Now I have no idea what they are going to talk or should I say argue about for 3 freaking episodes but I’ll tune.  If you ask me, this season was pretty darn dry, not sure if this is the end of the RHOA chapter… I guess we’ll have to wait and see…

Don't Be Tardy for the Wedding coming to BRAVO later this month.

Kim Zolciak’s own spinoff reality show, Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding (smh, Lord help us!) airs April 26^th —we’ll get to see Kim and Kroy plan their wedding. Get Exited! Or not?

And in other housewives news, your favorite Jersey Wives return Sunday April 22^nd  9pm EST apparently Teresa is still somehow arguing with everyone and alienating herself more and more. We’ll see how his season goes, last season wore me out. I was tired of hearing the same thing each episode. We’ll see how long I’ll last.

New Show ALERT!

ABC’s Scandal, which airs on Thursdays at 10pm EST starring the fabulous and uber-talented Kerry Washington? Have you guys watched?! …Well you’ve got to check it out. Kerry Washington’s character, Olivia Pope is partially based on former George H.W. Bush (the dad) administration’s press aide Judy Smith. In the show Olivia, (Kerry’s character) is in the business of fixing problems, more specifically the problems of DC’s elite politicians.  She protects their images and makes sure their numerous dirty secrets never get out.  She use to work for the President of the United States as his White House Communications Director, but now has her own crisis management firm.  A nice twist to the show is the HUGE secret that Olivia is hiding herself! It’s a really good show, Kerry Washington is an amazing actress if you get a chance to watch please do so!

• Kim Kardashian and Kanye West supposedly are dating? Anyone care? Nope me neither… next.

• Marc Anthony filed for Divorce from Jennifer Lopez and Nene Leakes and Greg Leakes (her now ex-husband) are officially divorced.
• Chris Brown and his girlfriend are in Australia … his new CD will drop early May … love him!
